What techniques do you guys use to get smooth blends in watercolor tattoos? I've tried a few but can't get it right. Any tips?

I personally use the whip shading technique with gradual layering to get those smooth blends. This method gives me a lot of control over the transition of colors. I start by layering the lightest colors first and then slowly build up the intensity with other layers. Taking my time with each layer really helps achieve that flawless watercolor look.
